Filter Magazine premiered Miserable's beautiful "Halloween Dream" music video today!
Here's some info on the music video courtesy of Kristina, herself:
Halloween Dream is about feeling pulled in two different directions.
It was written in a time of my life where I was trying to take the high road in a situation that I hadn't imagined myself ever being in. The song is about me looking back and feeling like making the right choice didn't mean anything at all in the end. That sometimes, having integrity in a compromising place doesn't always end up with a heroic and rewarding feeling. What is the "right choice"? What does it actually mean? Is it choosing your own happiness over someone else's? Where do you draw the line of self-indulgence versus what the heart wants? This song, collectively, is based around hurting someone whom you deeply care for.
I created this video when I was between houses and staying with a gracious friend of mine. I had a lot of time to kill, so I gathered some footage from various videos, and recorded them on an outdated iPhone. It is rough, but I like how it turned out, especially for a first attempt.
Watch it below, and pre-order your digital download or limited edition vinyl (Hand-numbered, Ultra Clear 7" with Gold Haze), and receive and instant download of the song!

The good folks at Brooklyn Vegan just premiered the first track off Miserable’s upcoming Halloween Dream EP, “Bell Jar”! Brooklyn Vegan calls it "quite possible her strongest solo track to date" and likens it to the "big metallic shoegaze" of Deafheaven. We just think everything Kristina does is rad, and hope you enjoy it.
Along with the song premiere, we’re also making the limited edition 7-inch (hand-numbered, on transparent vinyl with gold-haze) available for pre-order at our webstore. Those will ship on or around the February 18th release date; we’ll email downloads for the EP at least a couple of days before that though.
Click here to stream "Bell Jar" via Brooklyn Vegan, and here for more info on the EP and pre-orders!
UPDATE: You can now stream "Bell Jar" below.
