Established in the fall of 2013, The Native Sound is a small, independent record label based in New York City.
Since it's inception, the label has developed a diverse catalog of releases from artists such as John Vanderslice, Miserable, Planning For Burial, Plastic Flowers, Funeral Advantage, Surf Rock is Dead, and King Woman, to name a few.
Owned and operated by Julio Anta, the majority of the label's releases explore the reverb drenched sub-genres of dream-pop, shoegaze, and indie-pop, reflecting his own personal listening habits.
